i need help with comp ratios

ok, i have no idea how to determine compression ratios, is 8:8:1 better than 9:5:1, please help

What domean by "better"? Are you building an engine that will be all motor orturbocharged?

if ur bulding for a turbo the lowest you should go is 8.5:1 ratio. But what are intensions with your motor anyways.
