Default If the timing belt snaps on a Civic 2001 SI?

......then what will happen? Will the valves be bent or not? I know that on some motors nothing happens (example my old 95 mazda mx-6), but on my civic SI 2001??

yes you will have bent vavles as its an interference engine....best to change it then to have to deal with it

or you could drive it for as long as possible and once it snaps, that's the perfect time to get a built engine and turbo

you don't have a timing belt, you have a timing chain
it probably won't snap

yea they switched to a timing chain in 01 so you are probably good for some time, however it is still an interference motor so if it does break it pistons will smack some valves like a dirty ***** who stole your money

I thought it was only because the 01 Si has a K-series
Don't the D's still have a belt?

It depends if your SI has a K or a D engine. (K series came in US and JDM Si's, but CAD Si's came with D's and were unavailable with the K's. unless it's a SIR)
