mistfire problems

Default mistfire problems

I drive a 2002 civic ..my only mods are exaust pipe and short ram intake .Under hard acceleration it mistfire .What could be the broblem ? I think the problem is about the engine not having enough gas or not having enough spark .I am not a mecanic so if someone could help me with that it would be really cool ! thanks

check your plugs, you may need new ones. How good of shape are your spark plug wires?

I dont know ...I dont see any plug wires .There only a plastic cover on my valve cover with electrical wires going under it .

on an 02 if it was a misfire your check engine light would be on ---could be just a lean condition

I know ....you'r right but the chek engine light does not come on . I have an apointment at my honda dealer tomorow to chek it out . Il let you guys know what they found .
