will a d16y5 cam work in a d16y7, i looking to get another one so that i can still drive my car while the other cam is getting re ground

If you want to do that why dont you just find a cheap y7 cam and send it todelta then you dont need to take ne thing apart? No i dont think a y5 would because that has vtec.

Yeaa D16Y5is a SOHC w/ VTEC-E. Im not quite sure if it would work, it may but obviously vtec just wouldnt engage at all. That would be kinda pointless to put in your car tho. Like i said just find a Y7 cam and send that to em. Thatll make it much easier.
