id say swap for a d17 vtec from the ex model.....easiest and cheapest route. but of course if your handy with a welder and have good electrical skills alsong with technical knowledge i done see why you couldnt drop an h22 in there

 

well if you wanna go the route of custom making mounts and stuff you might as well go all out and get a GSR or SiR. honestly enough i think thats all a waste of time and in the end youd be better off with a K.

looks like i am going with a K24 from a TSX

 

bleh im not a huge fan of the k24. its out of a luxury car and an SUV. its not good for boost...which i dont like.

 

So what K would you swap with?

 

the cheapest k20 i could find. honestly enough, the K20A would be a dream to have. 220hp, id love to have it. but id prolly only end up getting the k20a3 (160hp from the 7th gen civic) or k20a2 (200hp from the RSX-S)

 

I look at it like this. Youve got to get some kinda swap. Do it right the first time. It would be bad *** to REALLY HAVE a k20 7th gen civic. Someone who used to post here lied about having one.......I think this bad situation can make you very happy. Putting a K20A in there will leave you very happy, good milage, VERY reliable and awesome power STOCK. Then you can do stupid stuff like intake. and full exhaust and get even more gains. 7th gens are slow, and like Marty stated theyve got the crappiest D series ever. Do the K, ull be glad you did.

 

itd be sweet if you could get your hands on a K20A but theyre hard to come by anywhere but japan. and even there theyre quite rare. your best bet would be to find the engine out of the RSX type-S...k20a2. if you cant find/afford that then your next best bet would be the engine out of a 7th gen. SI...k20a3. have fun looking. ebays your best bet.
