need engine advice
ok so i decided to bring the lx civic into the show and race world in my town i need advice on the best engine to replace the stock d17a1 i have my car is a 03 honda civic lx plz get me some advice and if u wanna know i want this car be be as fast and still reliable as possible

well i have a frienda wid a newer k20a out of interga that will let me have motor and trans for 2500 but i have heardthe install will cost more than the engine true or false cost i really want either a k20 or h22 caz i want run my car when i done with itcost of the fac im doin what most turn away from doing and that is the lx

I saw a list of parts for the swap (not including motor) that ran up to over 3k. That was partial new parts, and partial used. You can probably do it for less, but it's an expensive swap either way.
