Have you cahnged the oil yet, make sure the seals are the same size. From the pictures, it's decieving, but I think they do match. The old filter is just a bit larger in diameter, but the seals look like the same size. Take the seals out and compare them.

nah not yet, i'll do it tomorrow tooo busy today. It should fit though. Honda has made universal filters to fit all cars from 88-to the present. The only car that it wont fit is s2000

I can chime in about this.....check to see who made the "new" filter.

Recently, Honda started buying filters from a new company.....Honeywell. Previously, the filters were only made by Filtech

Here's the PROBLEM!

Honeywell is the company that makes FRAM!

Filtech is basically the same filter as Wix....made by Dana.....there is a comparison thread on another board I frequent.

Bottom line, when I buy filters at the dealer, I always check to see that I get the Filtech....if not, I don't buy them.

If it is the Honeywell I would suggest taking it back....maybe throwing it away.

Yeh, I remember a thread or two on here about filters. Wix filters are good, Fram filters suck.
