Default RE: rods/pistons question

What size pistons would I need? How are they measured by? What is typically a 'good deal' on them?

Dont forget we are talking about rods too.

Would I need to look into the crank shaft or rod bearings?

Ok, I finally got some sense and called Eagle. Here is what the specialist 'Alan' reccomended (really nice guy btw).

Eagle Rods: Part no. CRS5290H3D (About $400 msrp)

Details: CRS5290H3D 5.290" stock dimension fitment for Honda B16 engines (except JDM B16B), now with 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts 400.00

SRP Pistons: Part no. 149233 (About $400 msrp)

Details:

Part # Bore Oversize Stroke Rod C/D Head CC's C/R With .040 Dome CC's Gram Footnote Skirt

149233 81.25 +.010 3.504 5.394 1.181 42.7 10.3:1 1.4 275 V R

SRP Rings: Part no. JXC0F431990 (About $100 msrp)

Cometic Headgasket

Details:

Bore Material Stock Code Pkg Qty Price
81.5mm MLS .030" C4232-030 1 $86.50

Clevite Bearings: Part no. CB1777H

He said that this is a very well priced rounded setup that will have my car sticking 250whp np problem on 10psi.

Does it sound good to anybody?

i would go with cp pistons, they are worth the extra few bucks than the srp's and can hold nitrious and turbo

I'd go with Crower rods also.
