i have a 97 civic ex, could i swap the b16 engine into it with out changing the transmission, and would it fit without alot of extra parts?

Well a B16 would bolt right into your car....that is if you got the si engine.....but you will need to swap the transmitions D dose not work with B....but correct me if im wrong you will need different axels and ecu as well. Might as well jsut get a B18b1 or C1

i figured i would need the new ecu and stuff, does the b18 produce more power? is that the type r engine?

B18B = LS/RS/GS
B18C1 = GSR
B18C5 = Integra Type-R

For the b16 youll need new mounts, tranny, shift linkage, ecu, harness, axles.
