Default Ticking

hey my 89 honda makes a very nice ticking sound when i drive it. now i had a tune up the other day and the ticking sound isnt as loud but it is still there. now i was wondering if it was maybe a stuck valve or fuel injector because the sound pretty much goes away after its all warmed up

Just a little valve lash. It's common. The oil is trying to make it's way up to the valvetrain. If it will make you feel better you can check it and make sure it's in spec.

valves probably need to be adjusted, but I've heard as soon as you adjust them they go back to making the same noise not long after. That sound is normal in a lot of hondas I think.

honda recommends valve checks every 15,000 which is crazy. but just give them a look
