Well I'm relatively new to both the car world and the forum so any help will be highly appreciated =). I currently own a 1997 Honda civic hatchback cx and a b16 engine that's mounted on a civic Del sol (don't know the year or anything about the Del sol). i am now trying to swap my Honda civic engine with the b16 vtech. what are some problems i may run into? (trans and clutch are also being swapped as well) i already found one problem and its the harness for the engine to the cars computer... the one in my civic has one plug but the one in the Del sol has two.. (ill try and bring pics tomorrow..) any one know where i can find some type of converter?

 

you need to swap the ecu and convert the harness. i dont know much but i do know you need to swap the ecu (computer). and please edit your post, its vtec, not v-tech, you will get alot of people bashing you if you dont. just sayin lol.

i really dont know, im not familiar with what it needs that much, there are a bunch of people on here that will help you out tho, once they see the thread, they will let you know.

 

lol i have no other option but to wait, i brought some pictures and information. The car is a 1994-1997 Honda del Sol VTEC and has the B16a2 engine. The harness im looking to convert looks like this:

the one in my civic is one whole plug.. the one in the picture is 3 separate plugs.. (ill try getting a pic of my civic tomo)
