yes, the turbo exhaust manifold will bolt up to either one, and the charge piping will fit onto either engine's throttle body.

 

ok so i could run about 8psi on stock internals, how much hp would that be
and if i built up the engine internals, how much boost could i run and

you can use the d15b7 intake manifold and throttle body on the d16z6. I'm pretty sure the throttle body is the same, however the intake manifold has bigger runners (better) on the d16z6. I would recommend using the d16z6 intake manifold if you can, but you don't have to.

The exhaust manifold is the same so you can reuse that.

You can reuse the head bolts.

idk what hp for you to expect, but your engine will be stronger with the built internals, and will last longer while boosted. If you build it and boost it, it will definitely be faster than just boosted on stock internals.

yea, it's definitely worth doing right. I mean, who wants to blow their motor? lol. Plus, you'll see bigger gains with the built engine.
