Default Is it worth moding a high-mileage honda ?

I already have 145,000 on the odometer. Is it worth moding the car at that point in the engine life ? How long do these engines usually last ? Are there any preventive tune-ups that I can do to maintain the life of my engone ? What are some of the mileages on your cars.? Mines a 99 civic dx btw.

hondas arent chevys, they go for awhile. Timing belt and water pump for sure if it hasnt been changed...Rebuilding a honda D motor isnt really that expensive, especially if youre not doing heavy internals. I guess it depends on your goals. Youll need more work for a turbo motor. Or you can put the 127hp head on your block. Thats called the mini me
