Default 1000cc injectors

I am looking at a car with 1000cc injectors with a t3t4 garret turbo setup with a b16. Everyone I talk to say its to much but the guy says its tuned with them and its ok. Are they going to wash down the cylinders?

How much boost is the car running? That's really the deciding factor of how big your injectors should be. Who tuned this car you are looking at buying? What's it tuned on?
The 1000cc's should be fine, depending on who the tuner was.

I will be running about 6 pounds of boost when my car is finally done. I have 750cc injectors, and they are big for the amount of boost I want to run. However, I can just tune the injectors down. If I plan on going more boost later, I will be able to.

Ok, well the wastegate basically sets the minimum amount of boost. However, if he has a boost controller, he could have it turned up to say 15 lbs or more.

Regardless, 1000cc's are still kinda big for 10lbs, but it should be fine if tuned correctly.

Yeah 1000cc injectors are WAY big IMO. How much power is the B16 making? 1000cc are good for over 900whp. I would swap to may be some 550cc injectors. Those will be plenty and wont kill your mpg as bad as the 1000cc will. The 550s will be good for over 400whp.

1000cc injectors (and all injectors) can be tuned down. It's not like they turn on and bam 1000cc (or whatever amount) is shot out. Don't let the 1000cc scare you. It's the maximum amount of fuel that the injector can put out. 550's will max out wayy to quick... and I say all of this not knowing what turbo is on the car, what type of tune/who tuned it etc.

Thanks for all the info. I can see it will pay off to stay with the site. Most site just get you burned for asking questions. Also cypherthrax said I should talk off the body kit and put on oem parts. any idea why?

No clue who cypherthrax is. Or where he said this.. was this in a different thread? Regardless, I agree. Body kits are pointless, unless you want your car flashy looking. Most of us here will agree that only once in a blue moon a Civic will look good with a body kit. Most all of them (body kits) do not flow well with the rest of the car. You will also get all kinds of unwanted attention, too.

Stick with stock. You want a little flare? Check out the Mugen lip kit or Type R lip kit. Ebay is a good place for those.
