2000 ex advice
sup guys, ok, i got ahonda civic 2000 ex coupe with 60,000 miles on it. i just put cold air intake, headers, and cat back exhaust, (muffler, headers, intake all from ebay) but i was wondering if there are any little tips or tricks to get some extra HP out of it(beside wieght reduction). thanks

weight reduction will slightly decrease your track time, i think its a tenth for every 100lb you strip roughly, but it wont add horse power, you could get a cam, v-tec controller (i have never had luck with those bastard though), you could ditch power steering and ac, i think that is a 10hp gain, but if i were u i would save up some money to buy quality parts because with the exception of things like strut bars ebay parts are only worth what you paid for it. you could also lower the car and buy strut bars, they wont make the car faster but it will look cooler and handle better on turns.

yeah i have one and it is easy sauce to change, go ebay on this though because i have friends with skunk2 and b&m and they have all snapped them, just as i have snapped my ebay, just make sure you get the dual bend. oh and incase you ever snap it i recomend keeping a socket in the car so you can have a shift **** in a pinch.
and before any one accuses me of jamming gears and thats why it broke, i was pulling out of 3rd coasting to a stop sign.

ok, are rims a good investment? i heard like it takes some pretty good wieght off. i was thinking about putting subs in but im looking for speed not noise. also would a fiber glass hood and body kit be worth the $$$?

I'd stay away from 'glass anything. It cracks when it gets cold or bumped hard. Anything built thick enough to take abuse is going to be heavy. Go with carbon fiber or some type of plastic, like ABS. I wouldn't add anything on if you're looking to shave weight.Just replace things, like the hood, lip,or fenders if you want to lighten those areas. I'd lighten theinterior of the car instead though, especially if snow traction is a concern.
