Hi everyone not long had my new civic and im just coasting along and slow down kinda around 30mph and the engine revs up and the transmission jumps down a couple gears and i didnt mash gas or anything, car was in drive??? Any one help?

 

sounds like the automatic was downshifting

 

You have an 08.... it has a warranty. No need to speculate. Take it to the dealer.

 

Sounds to me like the car is downshifting to have the best response to the throttle. But if in doubt just take it to the dealer
