I recently bought a 2004 EX/AUTO/VTEC with 33k on it. I was expecting to get some good milage,this being my first honda....I was not sure what to expect. Right when I bought it I do what I do to all my cars/trucks...Oil, plugs and intake at the least.....I used Mobil 1 5w-20, NGK Iridium plugs...and a Kand N intake...I hit the highway and got 44.5 MPG from tampa to talli. 298mi/6.69 gallons...I thought that was amazing and was wondering if people get this good of milage often...likeI said, I am new to honda

highway with light driving = good mileage
that gasmileage isn't exact since you don't know exactly how much fuel the car used

 

that is quite good gas millage especially for an automatic.

 

Just commuting to work everyday my civic gets about 38 mpg. I would imagine on a long freeway with no stops the mileage would go up to at least 41 or higher.

 

my 00 ex coupe 5-speedgot 45 mpg from buffalo, ny to atlanta ga.

i filled her up, cruised at 70 for 360 miles and put 8 gallons back in each fillup.

360/8 = 45mpg

 

That is very good gas mileage. My 97 EX auto averages 37 if I drive under 60.

 

All this good mileage is very interesting...I have a 93 EX coupe...1.6 VTEC and I usually get around 300-310 miles out of a tank on highway driving...around town maybe 270-290. Has brand new O2 sensor, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires and all that. Also just seafoamed the heck out of it and still the same mileage. Very weird!!
