Here's what you should do:

Give it to me

But serisously, is there anything specifically wrong with? Anything you want to do to it?

I'm not too sure what's going on with that air intake or the ITB, but I have not experience with these cars so i can't tell you much

Engine bay looks stock except for:
* the intake pipe and air filter
* exhaust heat shield has been removed (though it is a stock exhaust manifold.)
* battery cables redone

The second two mods really aren't going to affect anything. The main issue with those cheap intakes is the "filter" may not do much to protect the engine from breathing dust. Put on a decent cone type filter like a K&N, or revert to stock air box and filter.

Outside is also quite stock, those are the stock steel wheels and 13 inch tires, and the ride height appears to be stock.

It looks like you have a pretty solid platform to start with though. Was this person who gave you this sane? No offense to them, it's just that clean, unmodded (<---is this a word?) EDs are like GOLD in So Cal. Have fun with it.
