Question Advice on buying a Civic.

I met some guy and he told me he was selling his 2000 Honda Civic ex VTEC the one with the moonroof i believe.. Aftermarket rims, new pioneer speakers, SI lights, 150,000 miles and no dents. Automatic. Asking for $2,200. Is there anything in particular i should look for if i test drive it? If i buy it this will be my first car. Any other tips? How's the price? I live in SoCal. Any advice will be great thank you in advance.

First check out Kelly Blue Book or NADA & see what they say it is worth private party. That will give you an ideas of the value.
I always check the fluids etc. If your not mechanical take it to a shop & have it looked at. It is worth the money to have a professional check it over. If the guy that is selling it has a problem with you doing that then pass on that car.
Never get in a hurry to buy. Look around. When I decide to buy a car I go on Autotraders.com & see what is available. Also Craigslist is OK to buy not so to sell my opinion. Check any local newspapers or auto papers like we have a Deals on wheels that comes out every few weeks.
I try to stay away from dealers. They are almost always way too high plus all the taxes & fees they load on. Every so often I can find a dealer I can work with but they are few & far between.
Just my ideas.
