I fell asleep too and totaled my 95 Dodge Grand Caravan. So now I know better to rest by the side if I'm sleepy.

well, looked at it today... the guy i originally bought the car from picked up the car from the junk yard and already had the bumper off... i can get everything to fix it from him, in the same color for approx 1k...

that includes

-front bumper cover
-radiator
-oil pan
-front left quarter panel
-rear bumper? not sure
-front windshield installed
-and a new rear quarter panel welded in and primered ready for paint...

i'm going to be doing most of the labor myself, which is saving me about a grand...

 

18 and no drinking... yeah and i'm the pope...

 

no, i seriously don't drink... the most i have ever drunk was 2 small Schmirnoff's on prom night...

and if i do drink, there's no way in hell i'm driving...

found out now that both of our parents would have been perfectly fine with us getting a hotel room... would have been great to have known that then...

 

Some states are now considering legislation wherein falling asleep while driving will carry the same penalties as driving under the influence. Glad you didn't get hurt...but I'm even more glad that you didn't cross over into another lane and kill some innocent motorist or family by having a head-on. Next time, get a room! Life's too precious.

 

yeah, i'm glad nothing worse happened too... i guess that was the good thing about it being 5 in the morning... there wasn't another car on the road for miles...
