Antenna question
Anyone know if the top portion (metal part) of the antenna can be separated from the bottom portion (plastic tube and cable) without requiring the need to replace the whole assembly on a '93 Civic CX?
Thank you

Nah, they're simple to replace.
From the passenger side, reach behind the radio and unplug the antenna cable. Then on the left side, pull the cable back across under the dash so it is laying on the left side floor.
Remove the two screws at the base of the old antenna and pull it out some. DO NOT PULL THE CABLE ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE CAR. You need access to the bottom end.
Cut the cable off of the old antenna. Throw old antenna away. Tape the radio plug of the new antenna onto the top end of the old cable.
Use the old cable to pull the new cable down into the car. Install the new antenna on the roof.
Remove the tape. Throw away the old cable. Thread the new cable across to the radio and plug it in.
