Ok, so I have a 2002 Civic LX coupe....and it's a nice little silver car and everything but my only issue is that it's an automatic. I'm 17 years old and all my friends have 5 spds. and I don't. I want to soup it up and make it look good and everything and I've already started doing it but i just want to know if its even worth racing. It has a 1.7L and 115 horses. I want to be able to compete with these guys that have 5 spd. preludes and civics and supras and stuff. I just feel dumb hanging out over there with the guys and knowing they could prolly kick my a$$ in a race. Is there anything I can add to my car to give me achance with them or is it even worth putting money in the motor??? Please help

 

first i will start off by saying sell it, cause your car there is very little aftermarket support, and unless you wanna swap in a K20 which would cost about $6000 then you will never keep up with a prelude or hevily modded Civic's let alone a Supra.

 

yes I am sorry to say it but unless you have a boosted motor swap then you will never be able to keep up with a lude or a supra.
