I just bought part(front end) of an 89 civic for the hood and fender, but got an engine with it too b16a, as well as 5 speed tranny, and other motor parts. Will any of these parts work with d15b? Like the tranny? Prog intake? Dist? I imagine the head wouldn't work so if anybody is looking for one, otherwise I might just scrap it with what's left of the frame when I get done taking parts off. The block is toast, had 255,000 miles on it and a hole in the side, I guess it was still running.

 

so the engine for the b16 is toasted?
if it is there must have been alot of wear and tear in that ****

 

I guess it was running fine then the girlfriend (yes a girl[]) ran it without oil for quite a while, and blew the engine.

 

Is there any way to check the tranny to get an idea how good it is out of the car? How many miles is usually expected out of a 5 speed. I know if she didn't take care of the engine, she didn't take care of anything else. what a shame, too nice of a little motor to neglect.[&o]

 

well the tranny should be fine, since it was just the engine that got all freaked up, but the tranny should be fine
