My gf 2004 civic dx has beeping problem. While the car is running the sound of keyless remote would go every so often. While driving it makes the beeping sound approximately every 2 minutes.

Can anyone help?

Seatbelt is on. Doors fully closed. That keyless remote beep goes every 2 mins while she is driving.

 

my guess is its a stupid electronic problem, im way to under qualified to even answer anything specific. but before i said that i had to make sure it wasnt ur seatbelt/doors like u said. take it down to a shop or someone u know who is smart, they can probably figure it out quick

 

if its the factory honda remote take it to the dealership.

 

I felt bad for her because she was so embarassed when she was driving and the beeping continued as a result people would give her the WTF you honking me look.

 

If the seatbelt light on the dash is on, then somehow it is believing the seatbelt(s) are not fastened.

 

Seatbelt light on dash is off. Nothing on the dash is lit.

 

He means the horn is blowing.

Is the battery/alternator in good shape? My sisters 02 did that but car also cut off?

 

Called the dealership they said it has something to do with the valet switch that turns on/off the keyless entry beep. The switch is located near hood release. Several reasons were mentioned along with electrical short.

Luckily after manipulating the switch the beep managed to disappear.
Hopefully that was all. Well so far so good.
