ECU Beeping

Default ECU Beeping

Hey everyone.I have just bought a 95 civic dx 2 door,i was driving it home andnoticed that theres a beeping coming from the ecu,its also beeping when the car is off and the door is open so im pretty sure its something to do with the security system that was previously installed in the car.any help would be greatly appreciated[sm=smiley20.gif]

Yeah that sounds like the alarm, not the ecu.

The ECU don't beep Has to be your alarm

It could be the key reminder beeper which came with the car stock. If you open the door while the key is still in the igniton, it will beep. Sometimes the switch in the lock fails and the system thinks that a key is in the ignition when it is not.

If you have an aftermerket alarm and can't use it because you don't have the remote, etc. it is best to take it out before it causes trouble. Rewire the car to stock.
