i didn't really know where to put this, but i got a 1993 civic and don't think im trying to be cheap here, but what mods can i do to my engine/ecu ect. that can give me more power? i don't want to put an exhaust on it, or turbo it (yet). thanks for looking!

 

Weight reduction?

 

t's hard to make power without any exhauts modifications because more air flow/engine pumping harder more exhaust flows out, so if the ehxaust is just as restrictive, it's hard to make much more power than stock.

BTW turbo is your best bang for your buck, but with a turbocharger you're looking for exhaust close to 3" in diamater, usually custom.

 

well theres really no good HP increase that youd be able to actualy feel....
a air intake and header might give you a cooler sound but IMO you wont feel a increase in HP....

dont believe the resistor/chip ebay that it will give you more power.LOL

if you want more power you can feel youd want to maybe do a MINI ME SWAP if you dont have Vtec 1.6 SOHC motor..... or do a motor swap to a complete dohc motor or what not.... not to cheap either way...

just remember ya got a civic [8D] MPG > HP......

 

the faster you get air in and exhaust out, the more hp you can get. so your little stock exhaust just won't cut it.
