Default best way to sell a car?

now that im on to my civic i need to sell my old car. I've never actually sold a car privately before, just traded-in.But the car is in great condition and I want the best value.

so the question is what is the best way/ebay/site/ad booklet to sell a car? to get the most for you car.

just in case some one is interested:

My personal favorite way to sell anything is through Craigslist. You can meet the buyer in person and get cash up front so it's not a scam and it can be in your area so it's not an inconvenience to meet them or get the car to the buyer.

Well there's the obvious sites that many people check out first: Autotrader.com and Carsoup.com(i think its $25 til your car sells), but i believe those cost money to put up an ad. Also check out Cars.com, Vehix.com, and i know for sure that Carsforsale.com is free. Craigslist is another great site for selling, well, anything! You should invest in a couple "For Sale" signs to put in your windows if your going to be driving it anywhere. Good luck!

Cheap/Free things that I can think of.

carsforsale.com, craigslist.com, ebaymotors.com (they have a free local listing setting), mautofied.com, posting up FS papers in the local grocery/convenience/department stores, FS sign in a window while the car sits near a busy intersection.
