Default differences between 96-98, 99-00 cluster?

Are their any diifferences between the 96-98 civic cluster and the 99-00 civic cluster? I do not believe there is but I heard that they now have amber lighting instead of just the light bulbs used to light the gauges. If so, what color is standard for the LX and EX 99-00 clusters?
