Default Digital Speedometer Limit

Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first Honda Civic this week. A 2007 Civic EX. It has the 2-tier dash with digital speedometer. I've noticed that while the speed keeps increasing, the speedometer tops out at 158Km/h (98mph). Is this a known issue? is there a way to unlock that limitation?

Thanks,
Geoff

You should bring it in and get it checked. If it keeps on going after 158 it should show it.

What are you doing going 158km/h!! lol

yes check if you are acutually going faster than 98 mph. have a friend get a radar gun or drive over one of those things that tells you your speed limit. if you are going faster then you know your problem is the spedometer.

If he said it tops at 98 mph, and then he said the speed is still increasing, then he must be going faster than 98.
