Default engine rod knock

I've got a 98 civic, D16y7. Bottom end rattles alot, rods. Bought a used engine, craigslist, and it also knocks, maybe 1 rod bearing. These little cars are awesome however, they do seem to throw rods or spin bearings.

Is there a flaw/weakness in the lube of the bottom end or is it just a lack of maintenance or abuse?

Will a new crank and bearings fix it or does it wear-out/tear-up more?

You got screwed twice looks like. Only thing that causes that usually is constant high revving. New bearings and rods should do the trick. Crank should be fine.
