first car
Awesome news!! I talked to the guy, told him that if he did not change the belt himself Id be willing to pay 4300 for the car(just for the damn inconvenience). He told me he will go have the waterpump, timing belt and tensiner done and he said 5000. KBB has the car at 5200 for this condition.
The car is a 2000 Civic EX manual, new brakes, tires, belt, water pump, tensioners. 100,000 miles.
This is an amzing deal that I would be stupid to pass up. The car is COMPLETLY stock and ready for me to make sick. Im pretty excited. Need to set a time to view the vehicle.

Allright I will. Im thinking.... Since im getting aloan for the car he doesnt want to change the pump and **** untill he knows Im going to buy the car.. NOW he lives a couple hours away. This means that Id have to drive there, test drive. say Yes or No to the car come home carless. Then come back and get the car once its changed... So i have to make a decision without driving it? This seems like a very good deal and Im tempted to say yes lets do it but not if I cant test drive really, im not driving back.
Well was he going to change it himself or take it to a shop? Because if he's going to take it to a shop then the easiest thing to do would be for him to subtract the cost of the repairs at a shop from his price and then you go get it changed yourself using the money you saved. Either way he'll be getting the same amount of money in the end.
