Default fuel filter

does anybody know what the average fuel filter should cost? also, how easy/hard is it to replace? thanks!

anywhere from $15-$30 normally for the average civic. Installation is an ease if you own a Haynes or Chilton's manual. Just be careful considering you're dealing with the fuel system with possible ignition.

Not too difficult (see below). I think you may need 19mm, 17mm, and 14mm wrenches. Tip: Use a scissor-like configuration of the wrenches both to tighten and loosen the nuts/bolts.

hey guys im going to be installing my new fuel filter sometime this week. any last minute tips or advice other than what is already posted that i should keep in mind while doing it?

It's really easy and those instructions should be all you need. It should take you less than 30 minutes from start to finish. If you're familiar with working on your car, it should take less than 15 minutes.

Make sure that the 14MM is a line wrench (aka flare nut wrench) or you will strip the fitting.

Buy the set of metric line wrenches. You will need a 10mm and possibly a 12 if you ever work on the brake or clutch lines.

i didn't use a line wrench, i just used an open end wrench... no stripping here
