Default General Quality Perception

I've been reading a lot of these forums and it seems to me that the general quality of Honda Civics has been dropping slightly (around the year 01 and again around 05/06). I could be wrong too.. but I want to find out what everyone's general impression of Honda Civic Quality is given year models.

So, for example, I'm looking for your rating from 1 to 10... 1 being very unreliable, 3 below average reliability, 5 average reliability, 7 above average, 10 amazing reliability (very reliable) for your civic, civics you've heard of and civics you've owned in the past.

I'll start.
1999 Civic: 7 (so far).

1993 Civic: 9 (the only time is craps on me is when I modify it against its will. ie: lowering spring w/o upgrading shocks)

1999 DX Coupe: 9

I dont think i've ever had to bring it in to a shop other than when i hit my deer. I've gotten oil changes pretty regularely and it's all set. Replaced the plugs/wires once since i've had it (need to do it again), but other than these normal maintence things it hasnt given me one problem. Had to reground the battery last winter though, it was having trouble starting, but that was like a $5 10 minute job. I love my Civ

What's involved in changing plugs and wires? What do you mean by changing the wires? How often does that have to be done?

thx

spark plugs/spark plug wires. There a DIY for changing the spark plugs here on HCF, check the DIYsection. I was told it should be done every 6 months (i think) but its been way longer than that and i'm still running okay.
