The offset of your rim must be wide..Sticks out more than the 16. The offset is a big key. I have 17 with 205/40 lowered and it never hits or rubs on my fenders because my offset is perfect.
You should of done research before buying those 18's

You will have to roll your fenders with a bat so the wheels can tuck right in..I wouldn't do that but what are your options.Getting rid of those wheels or rolling your fenders..Good luck

Sell those rims and tires. Check out www.tirerack.com. Select a wheel and tire package for your year and model of car. Then you can learn what size will fit your car. Buy those from somewhere.

I like Tire Rack's website- it lets you pick the wheel/ tire package and see it on the car first.
I didn't think 18's would fit on a '06 Civic but they do- good to keep in mind when the stockers wear out.

You can also get low profile tires. They are more expensive and wear out faster because of less rubber, but you could fit any size rim practically if you get those tires.
