hi i have a 93 civic ex sohc, and have intake, exhaust on it, but they really didnt help performance wise. i was wondering if there is any way to make it launch quicker and drive faster by turning nuts & bolts, timing, cams? i need some tips on how to make it run better. i do plan on putting in cams this week, but have no idea on what kind to purchase. im looking for someone to help me get optimum performance out of my civic asap!

 

It won't help you launch any faster. You know you're driving an economy car, right? you have vtec, and that should give you... 125 hp? so with mods you're maybe around 128-130. Don't expect much out of a d series without supercharger or turbo. If you want a faster launch, go buy a stang.

 

Get yourself a performance clutch and flywheel for increased acceleration, and a 50 shot of nitrous then you'll feel the difference.
