Default Help me

I'm going to do an engine swap on my 91 civic dx among many other things I plan to do. However I can't decide whether or not I should go with the JDM SiR b16a VTEC from the jdm 91 hatch or if I should have a b18c5 VTEC from the Type R Teggy dropped into it. any feedback would be great. I'm tempted more with the b16a due to saving money and weight on the front end and I love to have things as original to JDM as possible If that makes sense. please tell me which engine and why. thanks

Kenny

well would you like 160hp or 192hp?(i think)
and the type R will have way more torque
and you have a USDM civic you cant keep it JDM are you trying to make it JDM?
a honda is a honda it doesnt really matter both engines were designed by the same people

lol no I know I don't have a jdm civic, unfortunately cause that would be badass however I guess I miss spoke what I meant is I want to do a JDM swap if that makes sense. also I'm considering doing a jdm front end swap. Altogether I'm aiming for 300hp NA. (still seriousely considering the b16a.) And I know they were made by the same people thats what makes Honda such an awesome tuning opportunity. However my 91 civic is already light and tail happy. Especially when I do my tein coilovers and stiffen the suspension. So thats why I am more towards the b16a so that I can save more weight.

im runing a b16a and i like it.. and if it helps you on your budget go for it.

you do know that you have alot of rewiring to do to convert your dx from the dualpoint setup to a mpfi set up...to be able to make the b" series engines to work.
