Identifying Your Engine

if it's the civic type r motor it's a b16. it's probably a b16b series. if it's an integra type r, it's a b18c. b18c is NOT worth the money. it cost too damn much. you can build a b16a2 for REAL cheap. My redline is 8300. it pulls like a freight train and it's EASY to find parts for. and the head is more times than not used as the basis for a frankenstein motor.

What about the specs for the engine in my '99 GX? I've heard it has some crazy compression ratio of over 12 to 1?

The 99 GX has a D16b5. Here are some specs. These are directly from Wikipedia, so apparently no one knows some of the info:

well he just made his second post so i went to see his first one and I was assuming it was around the same time as his second post.
weird, why would you post once and then not come back and then come back 2 months later and only post one more time?

I have a '91 DX with a d16 swap. I've found four 96-98 d16 auto's and a '99 f23 with a 5-speed. My questions are:
1. Would the newer d16's mount up to my '91 5-speed?
2. And would the 2.3 even FIT between my fenders?
Thanks! I need to buy a motor ASAP
