Idle question

Default Idle question
When I start my civic up in the morning, it idles faster than normal. I know that it does this to warm up, but my question is, about how long should it do this? Thanks guys.

its perfectly normal dude, the computer is telling telling the injectors to put more gas in the motor to warm it up, its natural. In the winter it will do it longer then in summer obviously.

propably for a couple minutes to go from like 1500 to 1000 or so.

definitely, i've had mine do that for as long as 5-7 minutes if I just get in and drive rather than letting it sit and warm up.

itll run lke that until your engine temp is at half.
