Default intake

I just ordered an intake and i was wondering, are there any negative effects that a short ram intake can cause an engine? Thanks

not if installed correctly, some people claim hydrolock from intakes...i dont beleive it...but anyways...you ordered short ram, so unless you take your car swimming...youll be good.

there's none whatsoever. I've had a SRI since I've had my car (it was the first thing I bought), and there's nothing bad about them. Also, people worry about hydrolock with Cold-Air Intakes, not Short-Ram (and you have to completely submerge the filter to get hydrolock, so I fail to see why everyone's so worried).
