Default Just an idea and i want input.

So I was thinking about buying a civic si that has been wrecked or somehting but still has most of the main si items intact maily brakes and powertrain. But would it be worth taking something like that and basically turning my car into an si? and then I was thinking if you shop around and got the damaged si cheap enough you could probably part out whateever is left and pay for the whole project. However its just a thought so it would be really cool if you could like give me your input.

you have a civic already right? from i can tell when i looked in your gallery..but what si parts would you want? and if you want to motor i think it would be cheaper just to buy the motor alone and im sure it would come with alot lower kms

parting it out after taking off all of the SI parts isnt going to give you much more money.

yeah i have a 98 ex i was thinking i would use the whole powertrain, motor transmission axles and all that good stuff and probably the rear diesk brakes and if it had the si seats i would probably those out. I also have seen on another forum that they have bigger sway bars so i would probably do that stuff to. And yeah i know you wouldnt get much after taking all the good stuff off but surely you can take a few things and make a little bit off it. But please anyone give me input becasue im going to to a few wrecking yards on a search for a donor car here within a week or so. I guess I could always do in integra surely i can get a good B18 for something like that by the way which engine codes should I look for on the B18 that have vtec or will they usually just say right on the valve cover?
