Question To Keep or To Sell?

Hi.

My Honda Civic 2002 has reached 178000 mileage. Is it still worth to keep and take some repairs or should I sell it because it's getting old?

Depends on how well you maintained it! If you changed the oil every 3000 miles and things like that then keep it! They are known to run well past 300,000 miles!

keep it if you like it and maintenance are done when they need to , should last longer than that

if it's paid off and your not hurting for cash I would keep it, mine currently has 220k miles on it and still runs strong, as long as you have kept good care of it and have done all the regular maintenance I would keep using it.

I am having the exact same issue. I have an 02 civic as well with 105,000 miles on it. It's in amazing shape and I know i can get a ton more miles out of it.

If you sell it now you will get decent money for it.

if you keep it, you will have a hassle free car for a while, but almost get no resale money on it once it gets really high miles.

SO I don't know what to do either because I know we can get at least 200,000 something miles out of these cars but they are worth very little after that.

Let me know what you end up doing.
