Unhappy Keyless remote

Hello

I have a Civic 2000 LX .

My passenger side keyless entry is not working, but all the other doors lock and unlock without any issues.
Also, when I use the manual lock and unlock on the driver side door the same passenger side door does not lock or unlock.

Any suggestions on what is wrong ?

Thanks
Raghu

Sounds like you need a new door lock actuator. I would remove it and with a test light check for current when activating the system. I picked one up at the junk yard not too long ago for 5.00

Thanks, could you please elaborate what is the test light check ?

Can I remove the door lock actuator myself at home ? 5$ is a good deal, any possibility if you have got a spare one,I'll pay for that ?

Thanks

Basically, all a test light check is... is a 12v light bulb with two wires on it. You attach the bulb to the two wires for the door actuator. When you use the keyless remote or cycle the locks, the bulb should light up, indicating that it received power when it was supposed to. The same could be achieved with a voltage meter.

The door lock actuator isn't difficult to remove, if I recall. It can be time consuming, though. You have to remove the door panel (a few screws and clips, plus the inside handle), then pull back the plastic cover between the door panel and the metal. You'll see the mechanism itself inside the door. Just start removing screws and rods, and remember where it all goes. Taking a picture before you take it apart might help.
