Default Let the modding begin

Well i have installed the first performance mod on my car... i bought an SRI off ebay.. but have one questoin, there is a tube that i removed from the stock air tube, and it had a piece that stuck inside the airtube and then that connects to the head.. now the SRI came with a blue tube that connects to the SRI where the stock part should be... and i was wondering am i suposed to put the factory part inside the blue tube that came with the SRI since it will not actuall go in the SRI, i tried to just remove the factory part and then just connect the blue tube that came with the SRI to the head, butthe factory tube is connected to another one(the parts are metal and welded)

I am asuming this is some sort of vacume tube or something.. now is the was i have it set up ok? there are no wierd noises or lights on and it seems to run fine

P.S. i know that sounds confusing but here is a picture

I bumped into that same problem. What I did, was take that welded double tube piece completely out. Then just got a small chunk of hose and some clamps and ran it where it needed to be. Does that make sense??

....I tried to find a pic, but I dont have any close enough after I removed that piece...

i had the same problem. when i got my aem cai, it came with 2 hoses and clamps. so i can take out that whole metal piece and i put the 2 separated hoses in the appropriate spots. no more metal piece holding both hoses together.
