Default n00b question: what does "blip" mean?
whether someone talks about in downshifting or rev matching, what does it mean when they talk about "blip" the gas/engine? I tried googling it and reading the stickings, nothing came up.

It's pretty much an onomatopoeia. All it is is a quick little tap of the throttle to raise the engine speed up a few hundred rpm to help rev-match your downshifts.

Onomatopoeia? It's a word that sounds like what it means.... like "nom nom nom"... or "fap"
