Default Need advice...

So I'm a new car enthusiast with good mechanical skills. I just recently joined the honda family and dont want a ricer.
what are some things I can do to my stock 1998 civic ex coup. I want to stay with the stock motor as much as possible. I got the car basically free drives runs but does nee work shifter bushings rear brake lines and head gasket leak do to overheating I suspect currently runs good besides the small gasket leak. I plan on restoring the car and making a sleeper maybe 250 300 hp . Plane on doing a swap in the future but the car only has 129xxx on it. So lots of potential.Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Start with the engine you want, then start bolting stuff (like a turbo) to it unless you like doing work twice and potentially buying new parts to convert to the new engine

With that said, what is your budget? Turbo is the way to go IMO.
