I have two issues on my mind.

1: I swapped my beater headlights on and have the nice clear OEM style ones off the car. I had them taped off so I could spray some DIY eyelids on them but now I'm having second thoughts. I only have a little Titanium Metallic paint left, but I think its enough for this task. While I could have color matched eyelids, it may not look as good as I'd like it to. What should I do? Go ahead with the color matched eyelids, or should I do the DIY Type R black housing mod? And should I do that in matte or gloss black, if at all?

2: I FINALLY got my $100 rebate debit card from buying a new phone. What's the best bang for my buck thing I could add to the car for $100? Could be 1 or 2 little things as long as the total does not exceed $100.

If you're not familiar with my car, check my project thread. Link is in the sig.

I say do the DIY type-r housings in matte black. Personally, I only like black eyebrows on black cars. Other than that, I'm not a huge fan of eyebrows on any civic, color matched or not. Then again, Dan pulled off the white eyebrows on his EG quite well...

anyway, I'll let you know if I think of something under $100 to do/buy.

i like color matched eye lids...
i would not bake the headlights apart to paint them black IMO... mainly because i did it before and screwed up the plastic on the lenses so its not so clear anymore

baking apart the headlights isnt hard to do but theirs so much that can go wrong.. with baking them apart you could touch the clear plastic lense and put marks on it, or have the glue that holds them together go everywhere which is a huge mess also!!!!! that stuff is extremely sticky! and when its hot enough to bake apart well its very hot so watch your fingers!
only easy thing is painting the inner bezel. thats very easy. just a few screws on it to remove and simply clean and paint, let dry and screw it back onto the headlights.

Since my vote counts too, looks like its DIY CTR headlights.

The beauty of headlights is that you can do both... so if I decide black looks like poo, I'll figure something out.

what color are you gonna paint them? if justu black i would just buy some already painted black, then just reseal them so no moisture can get in and then sell the stock headlights you got now. i wouldnt risk messing up some good headlights but thats just me...
