Default Oil Burnage

Hey,

Well a couple weeks ago I bought a 98 civic ex 4 door with 146000 KM (not miles) on it. I have not noticed blue smoke or Any smoke but about 2 weeks ago me and my friend topped up the oil. Since then ive put 2-3000 KM on it and we checked the oil today and it was at the MIN line on the dip stick. Is this normal usage? I'm using straight 10W30. I wouldn't expect it to be burning oil yet but he made it seem like it was a little much. Also would it be same to use something like SeaFoam to clean out the engine? I'm a little worried I may burn a lot more oil after that (some people says the carbon blocking the rings will be cleaned out and you will burn oil. Maybe use some Lucas oil after? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Jeff

So how much oil did you end up adding? 1 liter?

If that. I didn't really watch but it was probably a little less.

Definitely not normal usage. Are you leaking anywhere?

Can't see any leaking or smoke unless I redline it and there is a "little" blackish blue smoke. I will ask my friend how much he put in tonight.
