Pulled Stereo Out...Turn Signals Don't Work
Hello,
I removed my stereo-A/C assembly from the dash last night to wire up an amp. I did not have time to get it back in and drove the car today without it. My turn signals are not working right now. Is there something in the wiring hookups for the stereo-A/C that will make this work when I plug things back in? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Doug

sounds like you could have blown a fuse. there should be a fuse inside your car for your turn signals. check those out before you start messing with any wires.
I have not actually connected any amp wires to the battery yet, just pulled them through and so forth. Is it possible to blow a fuse in this manner? I did note this morning the turn signals still flash when using the keyless entry on the car. Where can I find the fuse inside the car so I can check it?
Thanks!

if you try and put the 4-way flashers on, do they work? I'm assuming not.
Checl ALL your connections, the wiring for the turn signals runs through the flasher switch in the console. If that's not plugged in, then they won't work.
so, when you lock the car, it's probably not your turn signals flashing, but your parking lights (it's a 2 filament bulb)
EDIT, just reread it, the whole center console is out of the car?! then they won't work, lol.

Thanks MXS. It will be a while today before am I able to reconnect the center console and was worreid I hit something when pulling wires (although I had no indication of this and was very slow and careful about it when punching through the firewall). I still have to run the RCA cables down the other side tonight and then can reconnect everything.
Thanks again,
Doug
Thanks again,

Just take the hazard flasher button off of the console and plug it back in then your signals will work again. I took my dash out then took my car for a drive, my signals didnt work and I was like "wtf?" then I realized that the turn signal wires run through the hazard button so it has to be plugged in for your signals to work.
Thanks guys. After running my RCA cables for the amp and putting everything back together last night, the turn signals are working fine. Now I just need to decide on a subwoofer and an amp.
