Default Removing Valve Cover Bolt Grommets

I've just finished painting my valve cover(looks sweet), and I bought a gasket kit, that came with spark plug tube gaskets, valve cover gasket, and bolt grommets, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get the bolt grommets off to replace them. Anyone know how?

They should just pull out with a pair of pliers.

Well, the grommets came out with the bolts, but I can't get them off the bolt.

This is a bit difficult, but can be done if you don't have weak hands. Carefully cut the old grommets off. Then spray the new grommets and old bolts with silicone lubricant. Now place the head of the bolt on a hard surface (table) and use your strong fingers and thumb to slowly work the rubber grommet over the flanged part of the bolt. When done, wash the silicone lubricant off the rubber grommet with soap and water.

Alright, got all the grommets replaced, and I'm about to put the bolt back in to secure it in place, I know the torque specs for the bolts, but the haynes manual I have doesn't say an order to tighten the bolts in. d16z6 engine, btw.
