Shifting habits -- what's yours?
actually 1/8 mile because im too far from a 1/4 mile track
for me it has been second gear shattering, never had a rpoblem with my clutches or tob's. no biggie now i can rebuild my transmissions in 30 minutes

Whats double clutching?
Double clutching is pretty much what it sounds like, you push the clutch 2 times. To double clutch you would depress the clutch, switch into neutral, rev the engine trying to rev match, push the clutch again and put the car in whatever gear you are shifting to.
The whole point of it was to get a smooth shift in the old days. They didn't have syncros back in the day, so you had to get it really close because there was nothing there to try to help you.
^ yeah, when you shift into neutral and then let the clutch out it gets the insides of the tranny spinning with the engine so when you shift into a gear the tranny is spinning at the right speed and doesn't have to use the synchros to spin it.
